<image:caption>This project was completed in collaboration with Drew Dyson and Jorian Stuckey. The goal of this project was to predict how deadly a hurricane (that affects the east coast of the U.S.) would be utilizing a model trained to data we collected from sources available to the public. <image:title>Work - predicting income based on limited features</image:title>
<image:caption>This project was completed in collaboration with Alanna Besaw, Patrick Cavins, Anna Haas, and William Holder This was a 6-hour team hackathon project, and we were tasked to create an accurate model to predict the probability that people earned over $50,000. We were given the limitation that we could only use 20 features to create our model (and we were not able to use principle component analysis to narrow down the number of features used to build the model). The project can be found here. The blog post about this project can be found here. Photo by Sharon McCutcheon on Unsplash</image:caption>

<image:caption>The goal of this project was to use Reddit's API to collect posts from subreddits r/climate and r/climateskeptics, to utilize natural language processing (NLP) to process data, and to create and evaluate a classification model to predict which subreddit a given post came from. <image:title>Work - PREDicting property price</image:title>
<image:caption>The goal of the project is to use Ames, Iowa housing data and linear regression modeling techniques to predict property prices (in Ames, Iowa during 2006 to 2010). The goal was to also determine which features increase house sale price and which decrease house sale price. A linear regression model was created to predict house sale price, and its accuracy and precision in prediction were assessed. This project can be found here. <image:caption>The goal of this project was to build a recommender that could recommend similar recipes to a recipe a consumer likes or craves, and the recommender was built to also give biased recommendations that are healthy alternatives to a less healthy recipe that a consumer likes or craves.
